Just to say in case you haven’t seen it (but hard to miss) we have had another delivery of high quality horse manure from Kiln Lane Stables.
Please help yourself – no doubt there will be more coming soon!
Best wishes Helen

I have a small stable yard in Crondall and have a supply of well rotted farm manure which i wonder if any Farnham Allotment holders would be interested in having?
There is vehicular access to the heap.
We do not fertilize the grazing and do not use wormers.
If this is of interest to you and you would like more information please contact me using the following details:

Our show is once again upon us and it certainly doesn’t seem like a year ago when we held our last one. I thought it might be helpful to you if you are intending to come down to outline the programme for the day.

The show will open to everyone at 1 p.m.

Your show is part of the Town Show organised by the Maltings. Enclosed you will find a schedule for the show which outlines the classes.

We do also have other classes that asks for something you have made from the vegetables/fruit from your allotment that is edible. We also have classes for flowers from your allotment.
Kiln stables have kindly dropped off a lot of rotted horse manure at the 6 bells roundabout site. Please feel free to help yourselves.

My flower bed at the allotment has lots of this mysterious plant growing in it – the fluffy plant in the middle of the picture below.
It self-seeded itself and I’m not sure what it is – has anyone got any idea? It looks like fennel but there is so much of it in the bed that I can’t think that it is…last year I had cornflower in the bed, could that be it? It doesn’t look familiar.

Farnham Local Food are holding a plant sale and open day on Saturday 18th May. All of the plants on offer are grown by members of the group and there should be a good selection. You are welcome to come along and see what there is on offer. While you are there, enjoy some homemade cakes and chat to other gardening enthusiasts. The group will also be firing up the cob oven they made during their recent workshop, so there may be fresh pizza to eat. There will even be some live music to enjoy and fun activities for the children. Admission is free.
The event will run from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the group’s Runfold site. For more details, visit the website www.farnhamfood.com, or phone 0843 557 1569 and leave a message. Live music on the day will be from folk musician Sandy Flett, and members of the Surrey Hills Ukelele Band.
